Capturing the C-Series Test Runs - In Reel Time!

As we move towards commercial production of the C-Series, it’s a thrill to look back on the final test rides that have helped us refine the suspension, traction, balance, ride modes, and other aspects of the handling and attitude of this amazing road bike.

Of all the records of our test runs, none is so compelling or inspiring as the incredible footage captured by the Shannon’s Insurance DRIVEN team, whose evocatively-titled Electric Dreams has been viewed more than 18,000 times.

Over the course of several weeks, the Savic Motorcycles team would pack up for the day, regrouping as the sun set to uncover the 2022 prototype, ready to hit Melbourne’s lamp-lit streets and spotlight the automotive story of a lifetime.

The C-Series travelled across Victoria, gliding down city freeways, backdropped by Melbourne's glistening skyline, weaving through the subterranean Mad Max carpark, and blasting through frosty fog in the heart of the Black Spur.

Until then, the C-Series had never endured a journey quite as adventurous, and with the clear success of this untested prototype, it was a massive milestone for the whole team to watch their creation drive - and thrive - through radically different road conditions.

This unprecedented footage - perhaps the first for a homegrown electric bike of this scale - required patience, perseverance, and bold conviction. Adam, our assembly technician and designated test rider, weathered rain, fog and icy chills - pushing through whatever the climate threw at him to capture the perfect shot.

Behind-the-Scenes Briefing amidst the Enchanting Mist of the Black Spur Morning Shoot

After hours of collected footage and several charge cycles, the C-Series feature was a wrap. With hours of evocative footage, heartfelt narration by our founder Dennis, and the bold cinematic style of DRIVEN’s editors, Savic Motorcycles’ story was finally, artfully captured for perpetuity.

Our sincere thanks go out to DRIVEN for capturing a pivotal moment in our history, which will live on in the hearts of the entire Savic team - and continue to be a source of inspiration and deep personal pride.
