Unleashing our Potential on a World-Famous Stage

There’s something electric about testing limits - and nowhere are boundaries pushed harder than at Phillip Island’s legendary Grand Prix Circuit. When the SAVIC Motorcycles team had the opportunity to unleash the C-Series prototypes on this iconic track, we didn’t hold back.

Celebration and High-Speed Trials

As dawn broke over the Melbourne track, the day had a dual purpose:

  • Celebrate the achievements of the SAVIC team.
  • Push the C-Series to its performance limits under real-world, high-load conditions.

Unlike our earlier urban testing, Phillip Island offered the brutal conditions needed to validate the intricate dance between sophisticated software and mechanical power.

Performance Under Pressure

Phillip Island pushed the C-Series further than ever before. The team focused on:

  • High-current, rapid acceleration tests
  • Sustained top-speed trials
  • Full-load endurance across key mechanical systems (belt, bearings, brakes)

Every component was tested. Not just the battery, but the entire drivetrain had to prove its resilience under serious strain.

And it delivered.

Thermal Dynamics and Software Synergy

One of the major focus areas was thermal management — ensuring no system overheated under maximum load.

Battery health
✅ Motor and controller stability
✅ Real-time software monitoring and adjustments

The C-Series' integrated software proved it could manage high performance without compromising safety, even under repeated full-power runs.

Speed Trials: Pushing for the Pinnacle

While bikes reached an impressive 170km/h, the ultimate target of 180km/h remains within easy reach.
Final tweaks to software mapping and motor controller optimisation will unlock even greater speeds in coming updates.

Result: C-Series is not just fast for an EV. It’s fast, full stop.

Suspension: The Final Frontier

A notable first was testing the bikes’ production suspension, which has evolved significantly from its early iterations. With expert input from our test riders - including Jed Metcher, who is a leading authority on racing suspensions - the recent refinements of our suspension proved their high-speed stripes at Phillip Island.

Voices from the Track

"It's about making things happen, breaking limits, then fixing and breaking them again."

Dennis Savic, the CEO and founder of Savic Motorcycles, encapsulating the spirit of the day.

Second Test rider Marc Wilson expressed his surprise at the bike's balance and refinement, even during slower manoeuvres. For Jed, the powerful underlying sound of the bike at top speed was akin to a jet at an airshow – a testament to the bikes unique acoustic signature.

Results that Speak Volumes

By sunset, the verdict was clear:

  • Performance: Consistent, resilient, exhilarating.
  • Software and thermal systems: Passed under pressure.
  • Suspension: Ready for production.
  • Top speed: Closing in on targets.

Both riders were reluctant to step off > the surest sign that the C-Series had passed with flying colours.

What we witnessed at Phillip Island is just the beginning. It's not just about breaking the next limit; it's about perfecting a synergy between rider, machine, and the road. And as the sun set on a day of palpable excitement, one thing was certain: the future of electric motorcycles has arrived.
