As the Savic team toured Australia, inviting riders from all backgrounds to test the C-Series firsthand, we seized every chance to hit diverse roads, from stop-start city chaos to sweeping coastal highways. Through these experiences, clear trends emerged in how riders set up their bikes based on local conditions, with urban commuters cranking regen for one-pedal traffic flows, highway cruisers maxing torque for effortless 100km/h pulls, and twisty-road explorers blending throttle sensitivity for precise control. This is where the C-Series’ custom ride modes come into their own – letting you cycle, throttle off, through presets and tailored setups on the fly, to transform your ride entirely.

Ride modes for every condition doesn’t exist – until now

On the Savic C-Series, you’re working with four intuitive preset modes: Normal, Rain, Eco and Sport, plus three fully customisable slots. Many riders find that our presets alone are sufficient for their everyday needs:

Normal: Balanced torque and regen for versatile commuting
Rain: Gentle throttle and regen for an enhanced urban grip
Eco: A smooth power curve, with max regen for range-focused cruisers
Sport: An instant 200Nm torque punch for the thrill-seekers.

But for riders who are chasing the perfect mode for a specific blend of surface, riding and weather, you can build it yourself. Our intuitive touchscreen lets you dial your torque, throttle response, and regen through precise 1-10 scales, change on the fly with the throttle closed, and hide less utilised ride modes to have your favourites available on demand.

Reflecting on our Australia-wide tours, these standout riding conditions showcased the seamless adjustability of the C-Series’ custom modes – capturing the intricate variations between stop-start traffic and open-road bliss.

Sydney Harbour Bridge, NSW

With a blend of stop-start riding and occasional openings to crack open the throttle, riding with enough power to open up, enough regen to slow down and coast on open roads, and a manageable throttle for the varied conditions, this combination felt most suited to the wide range of conditions.

Melbourne CBD, Victoria

In dense traffic, barely exceeding 40km/h, increasing the regenerative braking to control it entirely through the throttle, a smooth throttle for the stop-start ride, and next to no power, there’s no rush to get anywhere!

National Highway, Berry, NSW

Riding open roads with a full day ahead of us, we chased maximum range and blissfully uninterrupted riding. Super-linear throttle delivered manageable power without wasting charge, paired with regenerative braking to top up the battery, and enough coasting leeway for the highway speeds.

Emerald, Dandenong Ranges, Victoria

With sweeping corners, steep inclines, and long downhill corners, this is where we were chasing maximum power and responsive regen, precisely managing the bike’s speed through each corner. With a slightly snappier throttle, this setup was perfect – enabling us to power through each corner, and instantly get on the brakes for the next bend ahead!
