Savic Motorcycles secures $2m strategic funding ahead of international market growth and sub-assembly facility opening
Thursday 18 December, Melbourne: Savic Motorcycles has announced the appointment of veteran technology leader Marc Alexander to the position of CEO, ahead of the brand’s pivotal growth period in 2026.
Marc brings with him over 25 years of industry experience across enterprise growth, EV systems, autonomous platforms, IoT, consumer & automotive technology, and successful global scale-ups. Having already implemented numerous improvements in recent months, Marc joins at a pivotal time as the pioneering brand prepares for international growth and the scale-up of its development and manufacturing capability next year.
Alongside this new appointment, Founder Dennis Savic will continue supporting the company in a strategic capacity, remaining on the Board of Directors and collaborating closely with the team on key initiatives. The transition follows the successful close of a $2 million strategic funding round, providing investment and capability at this critical moment.
Founder, Dennis Savic said, “We’ve built Savic Motorcycles from the ground up, taking a bold idea and turning it into a world-class electric motorcycle company. With new capital, new infrastructure, and global demand growing, this is the right moment for an experienced leader like Marc to take the reins and guide Savic through its next chapter.”
He added, “Uniquely, Marc has already proven his ability to do this here from Australia and now with the right investment in place, we wanted to ensure that he could begin his work as soon as possible to drive forward the success we’ve already achieved”.
Demand for electric vehicles is increasing exponentially worldwide, with recent figures showing the global EV motorcycle market is projected to double over the next five years, hitting 109.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2030 [Statista]. Following a series of positive feedback from Australian media who have tested the bike on local soil, the brand is well positioned to place the C-Series on the world-stage and represent Australia as a critical player in this burgeoning scene.

While full production of all C-Series will continue to take place at the brand’s West Melbourne HQ, Savic’s owned powertrain subassembly facility in Taizhou is set to commence operation in December 2025. Utilising some of the world’s greatest knowhow in EV powertrain manufacturing, the facility is key to increasing global production capacity, improving supply chain efficiency and enabling expansion into global markets, including Europe.
Marc Alexander, CEO, Savic Motorcycles said, “I’ve long admired Dennis’ tenacity and drive to bring his vision to life. To now be entrusted to take these foundations and build them into the global brand it will become, is an exceptional opportunity that doesn’t come around often. With the deep expertise we have within the business, I’m excited to help motorcyclists worldwide discover and embrace the C-Series, and to help place Australia as a leading nation in this EV technology and rapidly growing industry”.
Savic Motorcycles retains its broader C-Suite, with their expertise now complemented by the company’s broad range of strategic investment partners.
