The carbon fibre C-Series: weaving café racer heritage, motorsport pedigree, and showstopper looks

From their beginnings in the heady days of 1960s London, café racers have embodied the pursuit of elegance, individuality, and performance by stripping bikes back to their bare essentials. We’re carrying that legacy forward with a modern twist bringing real motorsport pedigree to Australia’s café-lined streets through our full carbon fibre bodywork.

So what is Carbon Fibre? It’s a material made by weaving super-thin filaments of carbon to create an incredibly strong, lightweight structure that’s taken the automotive, aircraft, and construction industries by storm. Each carbon fibre panel fitted to our C-Series is hand-laid by skilled craftsmen, the weave meticulously aligned for a flawless flow across the bike’s surface. And we can share it took a few goes to get this just right!

Pure Carbon vs. Faux Finish

With such a huge appeal for carbon, the market has seen an influx of Carbon Fibre ‘look’ accessories throughout the automotive industry. Off the back of this, our team have had plenty of enquiries about our own Carbon Fibre option, questioning, “Is it real?” which in response all we have to say is Yes, Yes it absolutely is!

An easy way to tell if carbon fibre is real or fake is to view it under the sun - the carbon weave on real carbon fibre comes alive by shimmering and refracting the light in a way that painted finishes – and ‘fake’ carbon – simply can’t replicate.

A true café racer mindset

The main reason we went with a Carbon fibre option was because it’s bloody cool, however, we also liked that it pays homage to the original café racer ethos, when riders would shed every spare gram in their pursuit of the magic “tonne” (100mph).

While our carbon fibre option shaves only a small margin off the C-Series’ weight, it keeps that spirit alive – a nod to the tradition that every gram truly matters when you’re chasing speed and performance.

The Art of Contrast

In our early prototypes, the first full set of carbon fibre arrived in an all-gloss finish. It looked spectacular, but something was missing – the bike felt like it needed more depth and definition. From a design perspective we wanted to do that by creating contrast. We reserved the high-gloss carbon for the hero surfaces – the Powertrain cover, belly pan and rear cowling – where reflections really enhance the bike’s sculpted lines. For the front and rear fenders and the belt guard, we introduced a matte carbon finish, giving the C-Series a layered presence and a sense of intentional contrast.

Because perfection is in the details, we also worked closely with our supplier to ensure every seam aligned seamlessly – no distracting joins, just a continuous flow of carbon weave across the bike’s body.

Turning heads wherever you go

Choosing the full carbon fibre option is a declaration of your love for the artistry of motorcycling and the craftsmanship behind this distinct finish. A carbon fibre C-Series stands shoulder to shoulder with the most exotic bikes in the world, guaranteed to attract attention, whether it’s turning heads at your local café, sparking conversations at bike meets, or making you glance back every time you park it (which any rider will agree is a must when you truly love your motorcycle).
