A pioneer in the electric motorcycle space, Australian brand Savic has been developing its C-Series for some time, with confirmation there’s no fewer than 12 street legal examples now gracing local roads.
Having sat down with founder Dennis Savic in the past to talk about his journey, and the labour of love that began back in 2016, it was our turn to jump onboard these fantastic looking machines to see what the fuss was about.
With ambitions to see in excess of 100 examples by the time 2026 rolls around, the Melbourne-based brand gave us access to one of their bikes on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where we spent an afternoon getting acquainted.
Pulling away from stationary stops was enjoyable. A twist of the wrist delivers instantaneous access to 200Nm of torque, with no clutch or gear changes to interrupt power delivery from its 60kW electric motor.
This sounds good on paper, but is even better when combined with good throttle mapping, making the power delivery manageable and smooth.
